Kinnara

'Kinnaras' could be translated as the 'suspicious spirits' or the Suspicious human'.  This type of living beings have the form of'a human' and yetthey are'nonhumans'.  They have a horn on their heads.  Some are born with a horse head and a human head and a horse body.  The female kinnaras are very beautiful and good at dancing. Besides they have sweet voices. So kinnaras are also the musical celestial beings under the control of the Sakra Heavenly King.  According to the legend, most Gandarvas take Kinnaras as their wives.
This type of living beings are born with strange form and suffer tremendously.  They also wish to leave their path and be born in a good dwelling. Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa pitied them and appeared as a Kinnara to teach them to stay away from plays and music and to cultivate the ten good deeds in order to fulfill their wish.
